Stefano in Bologna, and Pankow in Berlin. Every year thirty-six artists, 12 artistic contributions from each city, are asked to select from their photographic archive an image that captures a fleeting moment and has specific meaning within their personal research. In the poster format 70x100 cm, three reproduced images, each from every city, are on display simultaneously for a month in Cervia, in Bologna, and in Berlin. The fifth edition will take place from March 2025 to February 2026. Originally focused on photography it later broadened the scope of its activities to painting, video and performance art. The aim of both the performances and the exhibition will be to examine the body as both a site of self-expression as well as medium that can be easily governed, controlled, and commodified. The space itself, Kantgaragen (a former parking structure), plays a crucial role in shaping the narrative. Just as a parking structure is designed to organize and regulate movement, the exhibition reflects on how the body is similarly governed and structured within societal constraints. Through this lens, the exhibition will aim to highlight both the aforementioned tropes as well as moments of liberation, resilience, and the potential to transcend the systemic pressures placed upon the body. She graduated in graphic design at the Higher Institute of Applied Arts (Paris), with a specialization in publishing. Chochana Rosso invests herself in the practice of photography since 2018. During the lockdowns, she learned how to develop films and experimented with photographic print processes from a home-built darkroom. In 2021, her work /æfɹəˈdaɪti/ is selected to be a part of FRESH EYES&nbsp;annual publication which reunites 150 emerging artists from around Europe. Shortly after, she self published her first book, /æfɹəˈdaɪti/ which is a combination of photographic experimentations on her body, her sexuality and more particularly her place as a woman in society. It is available in bookshops across Europe such as Setanta Books in London and La Nouvelle Chambre Claire in Paris.In May 2023, Nicola Patruno, creator of JERGON, curated the exhibition rebis which reunitated Eleonora Sabet and Chochana Rosso’s works. In addition to older series such as /æfɹəˈdaɪti/ and S*x diary, she showed recent original pieces of her project Autoportrait de disparition which talks about grief and the loss of her family house. There were original unique prints on Japanese paper. The two artists collaborated on a unique piece for the show called L’ombre de ton absence/Nothing could end this love which combined both identities. In November 2024, the Labo Sauvage in Toulouse invited the artist to show her work in a solo exhibition. Her series The Sun Burns - the inconsistency of an entity and the fantasy of a myth, comprising 18 silver prints made by the artist and digital prints made by a printer, was on show until 15 January 2025. Before the exhibition closed, the artist performed to give an insight into her darkroom technique.Through obsessive and compulsive photography, she reflects on absence, loneliness, abandonment and emotional distress. Generally materialised by errors in development, imperfect prints with emulsion stains and the use of alternative treatments (solarisation, cyanotype, lithography and various experiments).In 2025, she embarked on a new research project focusing on her Guadeloupean origins and the creation of a family mythology.
